Course Overview

This course will provide students with the ability to safely conduct preoperational checks, operate a Skid Steer to satisfy site requirements, and complete assigned activities common when using a Skid Steer loader using attachments. The course content includes:

  • Plan and prepare for operations with a skid steer loader.
  • Perform pre-operational and operational checks on a skid steer loader.
  • Operate a skid steer loader to satisfy site requirements.
  • Load, carry and place materials to complete assigned work activities.
  • Relocate a skid steer loader.
  • Complete parking and shut down procedures.
  • Carry out post-operational requirements relating to cleaning, operational maintenance, and storing plant, tools and equipment.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and Industry sectors. Relevant information must be sourced prior to application of the unit.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued with:

  • a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIMPO334E – Conduct skid steer loader operatoins using attachments.
  • a competency card.

The Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be supplied and verified prior to issuance (www.usi.gov.au).

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must:
    • be at least 16 years of age.
    • have the ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
    • have basic mathematical skills.

Enrolment form & payment is required prior to training commencing.

Other Requirements

Students will be required to:

  • present photo ID.
  • declare any medical issue that may exclude them from full participation.
  • wear long sleeves, long pants, and enclosed footwear.

All training materials are supplied by Career Employment Group Inc.

Delivery Modes

  • Full-time attendance at a CEG training facility.
