Course Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to load and unload plant, and applies to those working in site-based roles.

The course content includes:

  • Preparing to load and unload plant.
  • Loading and unloading the plant in line with established requirements.
  • Access, interpret, and apply load handling documentation.
  • Obtain, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements.
  • Select and wear PPE required for work activities.
  • Obtain and display signage, and erect barriers to isolate the loading and unloading site from general traffic flow.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued with:

  • a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIHAN308F – Load and unload plant.

The Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be supplied and verified prior to issuance (www.usi.gov.au).

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English.

Enrolment form & payment is required prior to training commencing.

Other Requirements

Students will be required to:

  • present photo ID.
  • declare any medical issue that may exclude them from full participation.
  • wear long sleeves, long pants, and enclosed footwear.

All training materials are supplied by Career Employment Group Inc.
