Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for an Apprentice Tiler to work with our valued Host Employer in Metropolitan Adelaide. This position can be either full time or part time, and will involve travel to worksites around the metropolitan Adelaide area.
As part of this position, you will undertake a Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling, where you will gain practical knowledge and skills while earning a wage at the same time.

As a Tiling Apprentice, you will learn to lay ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass and other types of tiles on external and internal walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes. You may also:
- examine plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work.
- prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive.
- spread adhesives onto prepared surfaces and tiles, set tiles into place, and grout tiles.
- use tile-cutting tools to cut tiles for edges and corners, and around objects such as pipes and fittings.
- ensure tiles are correctly aligned and spaced.
- apply waterproofing systems.
Position Requirements
- Hold a current driver’s licence and White Card (preferred).
- Have a willingness to develop new skills with great work ethic.
- Be physically fit and able to undertake manual labour for extended periods of time.
- Have the ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively in a team.
- Be able to pass a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug and alcohol testing.
