Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a 2nd or 3rd year Commercial Cookery Trainee to work with our valued Host Employer in West Lakes.
This is a full time position, offering a fantastic opportunity to continue developing your skills and build a rewarding career in the hospitality industry.
As part of this opportunity, you will continue working towards your Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, gaining valuable practical experience in a commercial kitchen under the guidance of experienced supervisors.
As a Commercial Cookery Trainee, you will continue developing your skills across a range of kitchen and food preparation duties. You will have the opportunity to gain experience working across A La Carte and function services, while developing your confidence in a busy commercial kitchen environment.
You may also undertake the following:
- Preparing dishes using a range of cookery methods
- Preparing vegetable, fruit, egg and farinaceous dishes
- Planning and costing basic menus
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and equipment in line with WHS requirements
- Working effectively and collaboratively during A La Carte and function services
- Developing your culinary techniques and confidence in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Position Requirements
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Be punctual and have a good work ethic.
- Be able to use initiative and work well in a team.
- Have the ability to handle fast paced services.
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical.
