Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a full time Carpentry Apprentice to work with our valued Host Employer in the Northern Adelaide Suburbs.
As part of this opportunity, you will undertake a Certificate III in Carpentry.
This position has a strong focus on 1st fix carpentry, where you will learn to construct and install the structural framework of buildings before other trades commence their work. This may include working with stud walls, joists, roof trusses, timber frameworks, floor structures and other structural components.
You may also learn to undertake the following:
- Roofing, guttering, verandas, pergolas, sheds, and carports.
- Renovations, extensions, maintenance and repairs.
- Cladding, insulation and plasterboard installation.
- Fencing, screens, and blinds.
- Decks and balustrades.
- Doors, windows, and flooring.
Position Requirements
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug and alcohol testing.
- Hold a current driver’s licence.
- Have a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Be punctual and have a great work ethic.
- Be able to use initiative and work well in a team.
