Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a full time Carpentry Apprentice to work with our valued Host Employer based in Point Turton. This role will require travel to worksites across the Yorke Peninsula.
As part of this opportunity, you will undertake a Certificate III in Carpentry, where you will learn a range of skills working with a variety of tools and materials to construct, install, repair and finish structures and fixtures.
The main role of a carpenter is to construct, erect, install, finish and repair wooden structures and fixtures on residential and commercial buildings. You may also learn to undertake the following:
- Roofing, guttering, verandas, pergolas, sheds, and carports.
- 1st and 2nd fix, renovations, extensions, maintenance and repairs.
- Cladding, insulation and plasterboard installation.
- Building and pre-purchase inspections.
- Fencing, screens, and blinds.
- Decks and balustrades.
- Doors, windows, and flooring.
Position Requirements
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug and alcohol testing.
- Hold a current driver’s licence.
- Have a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Be punctual and have a great work ethic.
- Be able to use initiative and work well in a team.
