Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a Carpentry Apprentice to work with our valued Host Employer in Greenwith, Adelaide. This is a full time position and may involve weekend work as required.
As part of this opportunity, you will undertake a Certificate III in Carpentry, developing practical skills and experience in timber carpentry while working alongside experienced tradespeople across a variety of projects.
As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to develop skills across both first and second fix carpentry, including:
- Complete first and second fix carpentry work, including constructing and installing timber frames, flooring, doors, windows and other fixtures.
- Measure, cut and assemble timber materials using hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
- Construct decking and pergolas, and assist with home extensions, additions and renovation projects.
- Work alongside experienced carpenters to develop practical skills and industry knowledge.
Position Requirements
- Hold a current driver's licence.
- Hold a current White Card.
- Have a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Be punctual and have a strong work ethic.
- Be able to use initiative and work well in a team.
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug and alcohol testing.
