Course Overview
This unit provides students with the skills and knowledge required operate a skid steer loader to load, haul and distribute materials. This unit applies to those working in site based roles.
The course content includes:
Identifying and reporting hazards.
Equipment inspections.
Planning and preparing for skid steer loader operations.
Operating a skid steer loader in line with established requirements.
Loading, carrying and placing materials to complete work activity.
Selecting, removing, fitting, and using attachments for a
skid steer loader.
Relocating a skid steer loader.
Carrying out post-operational requirements, including cleaning and disposing or recycling materials.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued with:
a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIMPO318F – Conduct civil construction skid steer loader operations.
a competency card.
Entry Requirements
Be at least 16 years of age.
Be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
Have a basic understanding of mathematics
Enrolment form & payment is required prior to training commencing.
Other Requirements
Students will be required to:
present photo ID.
declare any medical issue that may exclude them from full participation.
wear long sleeves, long pants, and enclosed footwear.
All training materials are supplied by Career Employment Group Inc.
