Course Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required operate a skid steer loader to load, haul and distribute materials. This unit applies to those working in site based roles.

The course content includes:

  • Plan and prepare for wheel loader operations.
  • Operate the wheel loader in line with established requirements to complete work activity.
  • Complete parking and shut down procedures.
  • Carry out post-operational requirements related to cleaning, checking and storing plant, tools and equipment.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued with:

  • a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIMPO321F – Conduct civil construction front end loader operations.
  • a competency card.
The Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be supplied and verified prior to issuance (www.usi.gov.au).

Entry Requirements

  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • Be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
  • Have a basic understanding of mathematics.

Enrolment form & payment is required prior to training commencing.

Other Requirements

Students will be required to:

  • present photo ID.
  • declare any medical issue that may exclude them from full participation.
  • wear long sleeves, long pants, and enclosed footwear.

All training materials are supplied by Career Employment Group Inc.

  • Full-time attendance at a CEG training facility.
