Course Overview
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate excavator operations to lift carry and place materials. This unit applies to those working in site-based roles.
The course content includes:
Plan and prepare for excavator operations.
Operate an excavator in line with established requirements.
Lift, carry, and place materials to complete work activity.
Select, remove, fit and use attachments for an excavator.
Relocate an excavator.
Carry out post-operational requirements related to cleaning, checking and storing plant, tools and equipment.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued with:
a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIMPO320F – Conduct civil construction excavator operations.
a competency card.
The Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be supplied and verified prior to issuance (www.usi.gov.au).
Entry Requirements
Be at least 16 years of age.
Be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
Have a basic understanding of mathematics
Enrolment form & payment is required prior to training commencing.
Other Requirements
Students will be required to:
present photo ID.
declare any medical issue that may exclude them from full participation.
wear long sleeves, long pants, and enclosed footwear.
All training materials are supplied by Career Employment Group Inc.
